From the “Classical” period, Mozart’s Menuet in C Major is an excellent early intermediate piece to practice with. The piece has a light character making it fun to practice and the tempo, dynamics, and expressions are written fairly explicitly on the piece, making it a good stepping-stone as you transition into playing more difficult compositions. Beyond that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the most iconic composers in classical music and should be a part of any pianist’s repertoire.
