Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) wrote his “Hungarian Dances” (Ungarische Tänze) between 1858 and 1869 as pieces for piano four hands.

The 21 dances (which he composed after Hungarian folk melodies) belong to his most popular compositions – and the “Hungarian Dance No. 5” might be the most famous one!
