Great Balls of Fire (Piano Lessons): Video Title

Take some piano lessons from Scott Houston “The Piano Guy.” In this video, Scott and guest Karl Propst discuss playing the Jerry Lee Lewis hit, Great Balls of Fire.

Karl teaches the song in the Key of C which is the key that Jerry Lee Lewis recorded his hit in originally. The song uses the 3 blues chords: C, F & G. He begins by demonstrating the left hand part walking a baseline. You can pick any boogie woogie pattern for left hand to use. Karl shows you the one he uses. Since Propst is playing this in accompaniment style he uses stabbing chords on the 2 and 4 (using 8th notes).

Scott Houston’s life goal is help you learn to play piano through piano lessons that you can take anywhere and at any time to get you started having some fun at a piano or keyboard as quickly as possible.

The video concludes with a great performance of Karl Propst playing “Great Balls of Fire” on piano.
